Online Dating Services Safety Policy
Last Updated: August 10, 2026
1. Purpose
This policy describes the safety practices, reporting process, and related disclosures Purely Dating, LLC (“Purely Dating,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides for Rawn, in accordance with the Colorado Online Dating Services Safety Act, C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5. This policy applies to all members of Rawn, and in particular describes protections available to members located in Colorado.
2. Our Policy on Sexual Violence and Threats to Safety
Engaging in sexual conduct with another person without that person’s consent violates this policy and our Community Guidelines, and may also violate the law. We take reports of sexual violence, threats of violence, and other conduct that threatens the safety of our members seriously, and we cooperate with law enforcement as appropriate in response to valid legal requests.
3. Verification and Background Checks
Rawn does not conduct criminal background checks, sex-offender registry checks, or identity verification of members. You are solely responsible for exercising caution, common sense, and personal judgment when communicating with or meeting other members, including at a Rendezvous. No verification or screening process, even where used, can guarantee that another member is who they claim to be or that they do not pose a risk to your safety.
As one safety-by-design measure, a Rendezvous can only be proposed at a business or public venue selected from within the App, the App does not allow a member to enter geographic coordinates or a residential address as a meeting location. This reduces, but does not eliminate, certain risks of meeting someone in person.
4. Reporting Prohibited Content and Conduct
You can report a profile, a message, or a specific Masquerade or Rendezvous interaction at any time using the in-app Report tool, available from the three-dot menu on a profile or within a chat. You may also contact us directly at safety@purelydating.com.
Please do not submit a report for false, malicious, biased, or otherwise illegitimate reasons. Doing so violates our Community Guidelines and may result in action against your own account.
5. What Happens After You Report
Reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team using a combination of automated systems and human review. Depending on what we find, we may take remedial action, which can include:
- Suspending the reported member’s profile from the Service;
- Permanently barring the reported member from the Service; and/or
- Providing actual notice that we received a report to other members who have had contact with the reported member on the Service.
We provide actual notice under the third option above when we ban a member due to known or suspected fraudulent behavior, meaning behavior that, in our judgment, indicates a significant risk that the member is attempting to obtain money or something of value from other members through deception, a false identity, or other fraudulent means. In that situation, we notify Colorado members who exchanged messages with the banned account by email. Outside of that circumstance, we generally do not disclose the details of a report or the outcome of our review, in order to protect the privacy and safety of everyone involved, except where disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
6. Appeals
If you believe we took action against your account in error, you may appeal by contacting safety@purelydating.com. We aim to review appeals within 5 business days. Appeals are reviewed at our discretion, and not every decision is reversible.
